When a Latvian client approached us with a critical challenge—designing a steel frame structure that could withstand heavy snowfall in their harsh winter climate—our engineering and production teams rose to the occasion with a tailored, high-performance solution.

The Client's Unique Needs
Based in Latvia, where heavy snow accumulation is a winter staple, the client required a steel frame with two non-negotiable features:
- A snow-shedding sloped roof to prevent snow buildup, achieved by creating a 40 cm height difference (2.79m on the lower side, 3.19m on the higher side) across the frame's top.
- A 200 kg/m² roof load capacity to endure the weight of thick snow cover, a vital safety and durability requirement for the region's extreme weather.
Engineering the Solution
To meet the stringent load standard, we upgraded the top square tubes to a 3.0mm thickness—a material choice that significantly boosts structural rigidity and weight-bearing capacity. We also collaborated closely with the client on supplementary local reinforcement plans, where they will add additional materials on-site to further enhance load resistance.
After multiple rounds of technical communication and design refinement, the client fully approved the proposal, paving the way for us to fabricate a full-scale sample frame. This sample serves as a physical prototype and a practical installation guide, ensuring the client can replicate the build accurately in Latvia.

Why This Solution Stands Out
This project exemplifies our commitment to climate-adaptive engineering and client collaboration. By combining material upgrades, intentional design for regional weather, and hands-on prototyping, we delivered a structure that not only meets but exceeds the client's snow load and functionality needs. The sloped roof design eliminates the risk of snow-related structural damage, while the robust steel construction guarantees long-term performance in Latvia's unforgiving winters.

Whether it's customizing for extreme weather, load requirements, or geographic constraints, our team has the expertise to turn complex client challenges into actionable, industrial-grade solutions.
